So anyone that knows us realizes Labor day weekend is one of the times of year we take a family vaction. This year instead of our usual trip the wonderful world of Disney…we decided to head to Miami and stay at the newly renovated Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort. I have to tell you we had no expectations in mind other than a few days of beautiful Florida weather and some quality familty time. The resort recently underwent a 100 million dollar makeover. I have to say it did not disappoint. The room we stayed in was the deluxe golf view room. It is quite large for a deluxe room with 700 square feet of space. The beds were one of the nicest we have ever slept in and the bathrooms were very large, complete with plasma screen T.V.’s. The pool area was beautiful with a very fun lazy river, that we all enjoyed. The water slide was closed during our stay, I personally didn’t miss it, but I know my children really did. The one down side to the resort, if you want to call it a downside is there is absolutely nothing to do at night. It is VERY quiet. They do have two main restaurants, and the one they are known for BOURBON STEAK is absolutely amazing. It is truly worth going to. I highly recommend anyone that lives in this area or is visiting should dine here.

Why use a travel agency??
In today’s age of technology, when there are so many multiple travel sites at the click of your finger..Do you ask yourself “why should I use a travel agent? ” Do you also ask yourself “I can do this all on my own?”I would love to answer WHY.
1. What happens when you have a very long day of travel and you finally get to your hotel room, and there is NO reservation. If you booked using some random website…I have to say try getting someone on the phone, and if you do, how helpful and understanding are they??
2. From my experience I have found it is not always about securing the LOWEST price but about the SERVICE you recieve. Now don’t get me wrong, I travel and price is important to me..but I also won’t ever give up the service to get the lower price. Service is always my number one goal and is the first priority of travel agents. I can tell you after booking someones trip, my job never ends there. I ALWAYS follow-up with the hotel. Confirm the reservation, check to see if any upgrades are available, put in my clients special requests. I will help my clients book their transportaion needs, make their dinner reservations, check on any shows or fun activites for their children. So please remember a travel agent can still find you the best value without it being about a cheap trip.
3. This is my FAVORITE reason for using a travel agent. I ALREADY HAVE A JOB AND I AM VERY BUSY WITH MY FAMILY AND KIDS. Why should I spend my little free time researching my vacation…when there is someone else willing to do it..that enjoys doing it and can help you plan your vacation. Let a travel agent find all of your vacation options or book your corporate travel, so you can spend your free time doing something else.
